Receiving recognition for a job well done
is the most sincere compliment an employee can receive.
Recognition can consist of an appreciative phone call from
a citizen, to a formal award presented by the department. Letters
of appreciation are the most common form of approval. The
Garden City Police Department encourages praise for those
employees who have done an exceptional job
Should you wish to commend a police department employee,
please feel free to contact the department by phone, in writing,
or visit in person. A description the date, time, and location
of the incident, as well as the name officer(s) involved (if
available), should be included. The employee, and his supervisor,
will be made aware or the compliment, and a copy will be placed
in the employee’s personnel file.
